Happy Solstice!

We’re having a small kid-oriented celebration here tonight. I’m excited!

The Summer Sun
by Robert Louis Stevenson

GREAT is the sun, and wide he goes
Through empty heaven without repose;
And in the blue and glowing days
More thick than rain he showers his rays.

Though closer still the blinds we pull
To keep the shady parlour cool,
Yet he will find a chink or two
To slip his golden fingers through.

Above the hills, along the blue,
Round the bright air with footing true,
To please the child, to paint the rose,
The Gardener of the World, he goes.

How fun! Will there be pics? I love your sunny icon to go with.

Thanks! I’m sure there will be pics. However, I’m notoriously lame at sharing them with anyone. 🙁

I hope you enjoyed it sweetie! Thank you so much for putting it together, we need to have more. I can host next time, and we can still invite the other guests 🙂 What’s next? Samhain?

Hope tonight goes well, kiss our little ones for me.
    Love you!!

Hm, we should figure out a flickr account for you and then you can blog your photos with the click of a button. Kind of like FLC does with her Peaches and Jam pics, or I do occasionally (like with the bike stuff, or my garden). It’s super easy.

I have Flickr, and just uploaded some new (year-old) pics yesterday. But I need tutoring. I’m one of those “show me how” learners.

Let’s see. My Flickr screenname is the same: SarabellaE. Is that enough info to get you in?

It was fun. Thanks for coming.

The kids did just fine here last night. No problems. I’ll tell ya more later. The only challenge was getting everybody out of the house this morning to make it to my dentist appt. We all had a great time. I’m pretty beat, however, and hope to turn in early tonight.
