Quote of the Day
“Becoming a parent may happen on purpose or by accident, but however it comes about, parenting itself is a calling. It calls us to recreate our world every day, to meet if freshly in every moment. Such a calling is in actuality nothing less than a rigorous spiritual discipline—a quest to realize our truest, deepest nature as a human being. The very fact that we are a parent is continually asking us to find and express what is most nourishing, most loving, most wise and caring in ourselves, to be, as much as we can, our best selves.”

Thanks sweet mom:) I had a friend tell me once that if someone couldnt answer why they wanted to be a parent with a concrete reason, than they shouldnt be…i wasn’t in agreement as I think that perhaps wanting to procreate doesnt ALWAYS have to be explained in words, it can be something you only can see for yourself in your own heart/mind….I’d like to repost this on my journal(if you dont mind)…perhaps it will be a nice way to explain some of what i was feeling about her statement:) Thanks for sharing….I have no idea if I’ll ever be a mom, but I can’t read the future, so I keep my heart open!
