A Brief But Important Message

Dear Internet Friends,

It’s been a while since I told you this: I love you.

There are days when your voices are what gets me through. Reading about your joys, your struggles, your victories, your setbacks, and all the poetic and grimy minutiae of your lives means the world to me. It makes me feel connected despite the distance and time. It makes me feel loved and supported when you speak to me, comment, write, and confide in me. It makes me feel wanted and held, even when I’m feeling lonely and unlovable and trapped. There are days when I eagerly check for your updates over and over again. There are days when I shout at my computer, "Where is everybody!?"

So if you ever wonder if you are being heard, if you ever think no one is listening, remember: I am.

Hugs and kisses,
S

I soooo needed that today, it’s easy for me to feel like I am speaking into a vacuum and everyone is either silently judging me, it’s part of my damage. Thanks for listening. If it helps I always read your news, too, and am always glad for it. I love you and I’ll be seeing you soon, I’ll call you to make plans.

I’m listening too. I often read through without commenting, but I’m thankful to read what you (and others) have to say, to keep me connected to people far away.

I hope you know I am EXACTLY the same way. Without LiveJournal I would feel very lost and disconnected in this world. And I always read, even if I don’t comment.

Love you too. So very much!

Sweetie, I feel absolutely the same way. I’m kind of pathetic about posting, but I read obsessively multiple times a day, and can never get enough of hearing even the most trivial things from the people I love. I feel included in everyone’s lives even when I don’t get to see them in person.

It makes all the difference to get to hear your “voice” even just this much.
