Some September Pictures

Asher is 7 months old in these pictures. Lucas is still 5.

So, I take lots of pictures of my boys because I can, because I think they’re beautiful, and because I want to remember what they were like when they were small. Whenever I take pictures of Asher, I think of NoNo. These photos are dedicated to her; she’ll know why.

Lucas looks so much like Ian, now! He’s getting harder to photograph because sometimes he won’t cooperate. I can usually get him to give me goofy faces, though. And I’ll take those over nothing.

Sara, they are BEAUTIFUL boys. I love that you take so many pictures of them! Lucas is definitely in ‘kid’ territory, no longer any baby face on him, he’s all big boy now. Asher is dreamy too. Those eyebrows! Ach, I love them. You are a blessed woman. But you know that.

Beautiful, I love these pictures. Asher is so expressive, I love it.

That picture of Lucas in the red shirt and the cocky grin reminds me so much of Ian. Many hearts will melt for that boy.

They look like angels to me. It’s startling to see Lucas in contrast to Asher! He’s so not the baby anymore. And you’re right, so much like Daddy.

Asher’s whole face lights up when he smiles, it’s magic.

I love you. Thanks for posting these.

Thank you! You see it too! Something about Lucas’s hairstyle and the “cocky grin”—exactly! … God it transports me right back to high school when I first met Ian because that’s exactly how he looked then! Only more teenagery and less childy.

Thanks, darling. Again, you’re just reinforcing me. Sometimes I feel weird about “forcing” my pics on others, but then I remember it’s my journal.

I love them both so much! Especially when I don’t want to kill them.

    You know what I mean.

Is it the chin? All of a sudden it’s Ian’s chin to me…
